JP from Capsulated here.
So the site has an entirely new look? Why? Because the app is getting a huge makeover.
Cue Play DJ 1.5 is going to change the way you view mobile DJing. No one has ever attempted, or even though possible, replicating the Traktor/Serato-style experiences on a mobile device before. However, we thought there was no reason this couldn’t be done.
We were right.
Cue Play DJ 1.5 introduces beat grids, hot cues, quant loops, active cue windows, rolling hot loops, iPod library access, and super fast USB library transfer. It gives you a plethora of options to customize your experience to your DJing style. It takes the paradigm of pro DJ software and shoves it into a mobile device without compromise.
It may have taken longer than we’d like, (And we still have a little work to do making sure older devices aren’t completely left behind) but when Cue Play DJ 1.5 ships mid-August, it will enable creativity never before possible with mobile DJ software? Don’t believe me? Check out this little teaser trailer and see for yourself.
I hope you are as excited as we are, and we can’t wait to share this with you and get it into your hands as quickly as possible.
So sit tight and get ready. Cue Play DJ 1.5 (and a new super-accurate version of Cue Play Setlist) are coming soon and are ready to push mobile DJing out the world of gimmicky ideas and compromise towards our goal of a real desktop class experience. This is merely step one.
Share the video above and get people excited. It is with your help that we are going to take the DJ out of the booth and into the crowd.
